It has come to our attention that a number of fraudulent e-mails are being circulated purporting to be from eircom. These e-mails request eircom customers to provide their account information, including password.
The e-mail states that it is an official notification from eircom and claims that customers will need to enter these details to verify their account information.
This e-mail is NOT from eircom - it is a fraudulent attempt to obtain your account details.
If you have received this e-mail, DO NOT ENTER ANY DETAILS, report it to eircom and then delete it without clicking on any links or attachments.
If you have received such an e-mail:
do not reply with your password
do not click on any links on that e-mail.
do not open the attachment
delete the e-mail
We would like to remind you that although occasionally eircom may communicate with you via e-mail, we will never ask you to confirm any passwords or billing information and eircom never sends e-mail messages to customers with attachments.
